We recommend yearly physical exams and parasite screenings along with vaccines. To keep your pet healthy and happy throughout the year, we recommend year round flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives.
We offer many services to help with the overall health of your pet. We can help with nutritional questions and suggest diets that will keep your pet healthy. 40% of dogs are overweight and keeping a healthy weight from the puppy stage throughout a lifetime can increase their lifespan up to 15%. LHAH provides prophylactic cleanings along with necessary dental procedures. Dental disease, if left unprevented or untreated, can be painful as well and contribute to other local and system diseases.
We advocate that prevention also includes early spay/neuter procedures for animals not intended for breeding. We like to perform these procedures around 6 months of age for the health of your pet.
LHAH is equipped with an in-house laboratory and radiology to provide immediate diagnostics for disease preventation and monitoring as well as a relationship with outside labs for more complex cases.
